Today we sleep in. Breakfast is at 8am only and we only have to hike down a few hours to Hall on an easy trail and mainly through the forest.

We arrive around noon and can already access our room and have a shower before taking the train to Innsbruck. It’s only ten minutes by train and we decided mainly to go there because of an open supermarket! It’s Sunday today and tomorrow a bank holiday in Austria so we can’t buy any food in Hall for the final five days in the mountains. So we go first to the laundry, in between to the open supermarket in the train station and then enjoy an hour stroll through the nice old town of Innsbruck. We are back at the hotel at 4pm to relax, watch the Olympics and organise the next section through the Karwendel Alps. If everything goes well we will already be in Munich next Sunday! This time I am not sad that the trail will soon be over. I actually look forward to some rest and comfort after spending eight weeks mainly in huts/ in the mountains. And I have a final via ferrata week to look forward to with my friend Peggy!
